In an organisation of hundreds of teenagers, it is obvious that some formal attempts have to be made to maintain discipline and a promote responsible attitudes to the community and to school work. Approaches however are hugely varied - from the explicit promotion of self-discipline, to a comprehensive list of dos and don'ts.

Schools usually have some sort of written codes of conduct, sometimes drafted with the help of senior pupils. On this website, we try to show the school's general approach to discipline by their responses to two examples: failure to submit homework; and possession of cannabis.
